Happy New Year & Love and Blessings for all in 2009

01.10.09 * the Moon is Full in Cancer tonight at 10:30 EST and tomorrow, …

01.11.09 *please don’t shoot the messenger and look for benefits here, Mercury goes retrograde in Aquarius tomorrow , Jan 11th (consider that to be operative now) for the rest of the month.

01.26.09 *Tomorrow (Monday) morning at 2am the Moon is New and Eclipsed in Aquarius — the sign of brotherly and sisterly care and love. For eclipses, the shorthand is: “no idea what is really going on but it’ll be come more clear in the next 6 months”.  A new powerful cycle begins in this new year.

fortunately, keeping on the path of  “greater good” never goes out of style.

One more week of retrograde mercury as well. That eases next Sunday, February 1st.

Have chillin’ week, take it easy, do the small stuff and your inner continental plates will shift beneficially in their own time ;^)

02.01.2009 *Things are looking up, up there, as of 2am today!

Mercury , our winged champion of communication, functioning machinery, time-keeping and moving ahead in general — which has been in reverse since January 11th — finally screeched to a complete halt early this AM and will begin moving ahead in the sign of work, Capricorn, toute suite. So take a moment to sit back with a cuppa , twig tea or coffee or anything in between, and watch the river begin to flow forward once again. Break time is over, the festivities are beginning.

Speaking of festivities, tomorrow, February 2nd, is the Wiccan holiday of Imbolc, which honors the goddess and saint, Brigid and celebrates creativity, poetry, and healing. Sharing art — song, poetry, other writing, will be part of our ritual tomorrow — what a great time of year to get any latent inspirational juice moving again!

It is a time to sweep out the old of winter (though it may not look like it now!) and acknowledge the early beginnings – looking forward to – spring.  Imbolc celebrates the ewes  coming into milk, thus if you can find the company of a lactating sheep, all the better! Alternatively, serve post-ritual food that contains dairy products, especially made of sheep’s milk.

As the saying goes, “St. Brigid’s Eve without butter, that is a sorry complaint.”
02.09.09 *Dear Moon-worshippers ~ Although there’s much going on this month way out in the Universe, including change/love/and expanding our consciousness to embrace more and more in our community and world, for the moment, the  Lunar Eclipse   is enough and the only thing going on this week.

As a student in her last semester of Grad school, my cloudy vision of the future is understandable, however considering the ‘mysteries’ that surround the “eclipse phenomenon” en general, I suspect it’s more than my educational status that is fostering my current foggy experience…!!!

Ah, when is Patience not an important companion to cultivate, as we await what will surely emerge with perfect timing?

Here’s a fun tool, Moonset/Moonrise calculator to track them in your or any other area: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/moonrise.html Note the other links to other fun tools on the page!

Vive la change, l’amour et vive la difference! Yours in a Universal embrace.

02.22.09 *New Moon Pisces. Have you seen Venus beaming in the night sky lately? After work last night I followed her home — she’s the light in the sky so bright she could be a helicopter or plane, however, she’s the one not moving.   Also last night, at 8:30ish EST, the Moon became New in the sign of feeling/caring Pisces, signalling that time for self-care/dreaming/tuning into the Universal channel (instead of HBO), could be beneficial! I was just yearning for a  ’spa year’  and this may be why…(well, one of many reasons ;^).   Spring is on the way. Keep the faith. The Full Moon is next…

03.20.09 *This is the official day of the 2009  Vernal Equinox — celebrated by those who follow the stars and honor the Earth cycles. Marked from the day the Sun moves into the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, this is the time that Day = Night as the days grow longer and longer, culminating in Summer Solstice. Many of Easter’s images originate in Ostara symbology, eggs and rabbits both representing fertility and growth — although the complexity has been ‘lost in translation’. Read more here:

Two Spring inspirations for everyone:

First, the new White House lawn garden, soon to feature MANY organic varieties and cared for by local DC school kids:

and second, signs of human evolution, a minister in New Hampshire takes in an ex-offender, despite the neighbors’ objections:

Peace, love, courage and transformation to all.
Renew, spring clean on all levels, make the difference you feel needs to be made!
05.07.09 *
Dear  Neighbors on the Planet  ~ It’s been a while! Today is Day 9 of rain here in Philly, yet a very bright light  has just begun to emerge as I begin to write you. We all forget its name at this point…

Of course, whether I report in or not, the planetary aspects and angles do continue to reflect what would be much more challenging-to-discern energy patterns, without their visible dance moves to note and contemplate.

And now Mercury, as of this morning (Thursday, May 7th) is doing the Retrograde Rumba, until the end of the month, May 30th. That this event begins while the planet is in Gemini may touch off some mental wheel-spinning for a day or 2, then back into Taurus, the earthy, practical, material-world sign, so your “re” themed time (the ‘re-trograde’ way-to-be): re-evaluation, review, re-create, and on — may take the form of closet-cleaning and bank account assessments, if you get my drift. or weeding. or  re-evaluating your garden plan.

Although signing on dotted lines is discouraged during retrogrades, as well as starting anything new, if these things do need to happen, try and leave yourself and ‘out’. I’ve been finding retrogrades to be great times to slow down and get things in order — preparation for the next period of forward movement.  I think each of us can find our ‘best use’ of Mercury retrograde times.

Friday at Midnight promises to be a culmination of some rather intense   Scorpio Full Moon  energy so don’t mince words (not that that’s too possible in such an energy field) and get to the bottom of confusing situations and whatever’s been ailing you on any level. The energy is simply there for that now. Surrendering to the cosmic forces can be rewarding ;^)!!

06.07.09 *The Full Moon in the sign of Sagittarius today could enliven any adventure, especially out in nature.

Should you choose to commune with your ‘higher self‘ – nourish mind and soul, attain the bigger picture version of our lives evolving in the microcosm of the Universe that we inhabit. The energy is there to focus and aim in this direction.

Ponder the big questions by a bubbling brook, talk to your favorite spirits whilst climbing a mountain trail, & when a loved one runs at you full tilt with a problem or frustration — take the moment before responding to pause and ‘increase the peace’ with your answer.

Why are you here? ‘Tis a great day to make some progress on that answer ;^).

Speaking of the out-of-doors, it’s time for yours truly to ’stap away’ from the screen and recreate as well!

peace , love  & understanding,
